Production Supervisor (Finance)
Supervisor for all activities of the manufacturing department. These activities include direct supervision of manufacturing, help with coordination of scheduling, and logistics to meet customer demands. Develop Team Leads, programs, and processes to ensure safety and employment compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive manufacturing efforts to ensure production goals and KPIs are achieved.
- Coach and develop leaders on methods and behaviors to achieve business needs in safety, quality, and productivity.
- Train team on all aspects of production to maintain high efficiencies, including instructing employees on machine operation and task management.
- Estimate material, products, supplies, and staffing needs to meet production schedules. Supervise Team Leaders to meet daily operational and order fulfillment goals.
- Maintain performance reviews, timekeeping, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure cross-training across all department aspects.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements.
- Accurately report production data and scrap, resolving system issues as needed.
- Recognize safety hazards, take immediate corrective actions, and prevent re-occurrences.
- Conduct daily safety start-up meetings and safety audits in compliance with company programs.
- Promote a safety culture aimed at reducing injuries to zero.
- Lead and implement 80/20 initiatives.
- Coordinate with other departments to enhance safety, growth, and quality.
- Verify production reporting accuracy, procedural compliance, and attendance. Plan and prioritize production activities cost-effectively.
- Analyze and update product costs in ERP systems through labor, material, and process analysis.
- Analyze data and take appropriate actions; maintain proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Syspro.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years' manufacturing experience, with 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
- Desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to promote teamwork among peers.
- Proficiency in handling high call/email volumes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and ERP systems like SAP.
