Job description

Join to apply for the Production Supervisor role at Prospiant.

Supervisor for all activities of the manufacturing department, including direct supervision of manufacturing, coordination of scheduling, and logistics to meet customer demands. Develop Team Leads, programs, and processes to ensure safety and employment compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Drive manufacturing efforts to ensure production goals and KPIs are achieved.
  2. Coach and develop leaders on safety, quality, and productivity methods and behaviors.
  3. Train team on all aspects of production to maintain high efficiencies, including instructing employees on machine and task movements.
  4. Estimate material, product, supplies, and staffing needs to meet production schedules. Supervise Team Leaders to meet daily operations and order fulfillment.
  5. Maintain performance reviews, timekeeping, and conflict resolution.
  6. Supervise cross-training to cover all department aspects.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements.
  8. Report production and scrap data accurately and resolve system issues as needed.
  9. Identify safety hazards, take corrective actions, and conduct safety meetings and audits.
  10. Promote a safety culture aiming for zero injuries.
  11. Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  12. Verify reporting accuracy, procedural compliance, and attendance. Plan and prioritize production activities efficiently.
  13. Analyze costs and improve processes within ERP systems.
  14. Utilize data to inform decisions; maintain proficiency in relevant software.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education And/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Team-oriented with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems like SAP.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Motivate and build team culture.
  • Lead by example, promote accountability, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure customer service levels are met and operational metrics are tracked.
Technical Skills and Competencies
  • Strong personal credibility, analytical skills, active listening, and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
