Job summary

Manpower is assisting a busy manufacturer near Hanover, PA in hiring a Production Supervisor to join their team. The role reports to the operations leadership and requires overseeing 15-20 production staff on the 3pm-11pm shift.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in industrial manufacturing, exposure to CNC machinery, and a proven track record of maintaining quality and safety while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in managing and inspiring direct reports.
• Exposure to production equipment such as CNC machinery.
• Union experience preferred.
• US persons only – work authorization required.
• Ability to train on 1st and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyzes product and equipment specifications and performance to meet daily production goals while upholding quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager for resource analysis and capacity planning.
• Plan and assign work according to changing priorities, call offs, or mechanical issues.
• Motivate machine operators to achieve production goals; supervise 15–20 workers.
• Initiate Production System to improve product flow.
• Train and mentor machine operators for skill development and continuous improvement.
• Perform defect root cause analysis and mitigation.
• Perform product margin analyses.
• Handle departmental administrative duties.

Production Supervisor – Direct Hire – Hanover, PA

$70-$75K - Monday -Friday 3pm-11pm

Manpower is assisting a busy manufacturer local to Hanover in hiring a Production Supervisor to join their amazing team of professionals. The right candidate MUST have prior experience in industrial manufacturing and prior exposure to production equipment such as CNC Machinery.

Key Responsibilities (include and are not limited to):

• Independently analyzes product and equipment specifications and performance Day-to-day meeting of the production goals while maintaining both Quality and Safety standards. Ability to identify production issues and assess best form of action to move forward.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager for resource analysis and capacity planning.
• Plan and assign work according to changing priorities, call offs, or mechanical issues
• Motivate machine operators to accomplish production goals. Supervising a range of 15-20 production workers.
• Initiate Production System to improve product flow.
• Train, mentor and supervise the machine operators for continued improvement of skills and development of human capital.
• Perform defect root cause analysis and mitigation.
• Perform product margin analyses.
• Perform departmental administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum education HSD or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-years supervisory experience in manufacturing setting.
• Experience in managing and inspiring direct reports.
• Union experience preferred.
• Due to the nature of work, only US persons will be considered for role.
• Ability to train on 1st and 3rd shift.
