Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations at our facility. You will oversee 30-80 hourly team members, manage staffing, throughput, yield, and shift performance against the production schedule.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a solid understanding of packaging operations. You’ll collaborate with maintenance, QA, sanitation, and shipping to keep lines running and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in production strongly preferred.
• One or more years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, ideally leading a large hourly workforce.
• Working knowledge of packaging operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run daily production: assign and balance labor, monitor line speed and downtime, and direct startups, changeovers, allergen transitions, and shutdowns.
• Verify temperatures, freezer exit temps, and product weights are run and recorded to spec.
• Maintain separation between raw and RTE areas, and elevate off-spec product to QA.
• Coach, train, and cross‑train your crew, and handle performance conversations in partnership with HR.
• Partner with maintenance, quality, sanitation, and shipping to keep lines running.
• Drive continuous improvement by cutting downtime, giveaway, waste, and changeover time.
• Complete shift documentation and report results to plant leadership.

Schedule & Physical Requirements

• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Ability to walk the production floor for long periods, climb stairs, ladders, and platforms, and lift up to 25 lbs
