Position Overview

The Production Supervisor manages all aspects of operations including safety, quality, team engagement, and overall performance aligned with company KPIs. This leadership role involves coaching, developing, motivating, and mentoring an operational team. The position reports to the Site Operations Manager and oversees a team during the 1st shift in Erie, PA.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead all operations within the machine shop and warehouse environments.
2. Manage union associates effectively.
3. Schedule production activities and assign work shifts.
4. Support safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance.
5. Meet KPIs such as safety, on-time delivery, and fill rate.
6. Manage metrics and implement corrective actions.
7. Coordinate inventory control and improve accuracy to meet KPI and customer satisfaction targets.
8. Develop productivity plans based on work forecasts and labor requirements.
9. Set performance goals to meet customer expectations regarding quality and accuracy.
10. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools.
11. Manage cost savings and tooling lifespan enhancements.
12. Enhance employee engagement through team-building activities.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. 2-5 years of machining experience, including CNC/manual machining.
3. Ability to read blueprints.
4. Warehouse supervisory experience is a plus.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Experience with Microsoft D365 is advantageous.
7. Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
8. Strong time and project management skills.
9. Team-oriented with influencing skills.
10. Experience working in and leading union environments is a plus.
