$35.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Job Title: Production Group Leader 2

Duration: 12 months (may extend)

Location: Detroit, MI

Standard Shift: Rotating shifts every 3-4 months, Monday-Friday, with possible Saturday work (2 out of 3 Saturdays).

Shift Times: 5:30am - 3:00pm OR 3:30pm - 1am

Emergency Contact: Will depend on shift leader

Job Responsibilities

The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.

  • Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect problems.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff; resolve personal grievances.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience
  • Analytical mindset and ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
