Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Experience in automotive parts, sheet metal fabrication, or similar precision manufacturing preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Proficiency with production tracking software and Netsuite.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across assigned shifts, meeting output targets and deadlines.
• Create and schedule work orders for optimal production cycles.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of production associates; manage scheduling, attendance, and performance.
• Enforce safety policies; conduct safety briefings and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor product quality and address defects and non-conformances.
• Track and report daily production metrics to leadership.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available for schedules.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma) to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Handle employee relation issues, including coaching and conflict resolution.

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across assigned shift(s) or line(s), ensuring output targets and deadlines are met
• Create and schedule work orders to ensure optimal and efficient production cycles
• Lead, train, and develop a team of production associates and operators; manage scheduling, attendance, and performance
• Enforce safety policies and procedures; conduct safety briefings and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process and address defects and non-conformances
• Track and report daily production metrics (output, downtime, scrap rate, labor efficiency) to leadership
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure components and raw materials are available to meet production schedules
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma principles) to reduce waste and improve throughput
• Handle employee relation issues, including coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role
• Experience in automotive parts, sheet metal fabrication, or similar precision manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and quality specifications
• Proficiency with production tracking software and Netsuite
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods on a manufacturing floor
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working in a plant environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
