Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions in Cold Spring, MN is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead sand molding and pouring operations on the production floor. You will drive safety and quality initiatives, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement efforts across the plant.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coaching, and collaboration with maintenance and materials teams to ensure on-time delivery and optimal productivity. A strong foundry background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience in a foundry environment.
• Strong understanding of foundry operations, safety regulations, and production processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality systems, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work ~70% on the production floor.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct employees in molding, pouring, and related foundry operations.
• Identify, address, and eliminate workplace safety concerns while promoting a safe environment.
• Monitor production performance, quality metrics, and productivity goals.
• Conduct performance evaluations, coach employees, and support training and development.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, TPM, quality, cost, and delivery programs.
• Manage inventory, receive material shipments, and coordinate parts and supply ordering.
• Support daily production meetings, audits, and major maintenance activities.
