Job description

This role manages the day-to-day manufacturing production team operations, overseeing multiple production lines. The position involves providing excellent service and support to employees, ensuring food and human safety, maintaining product quality, and optimizing operational efficiency.

What will I do?

  1. Manage and develop a team of employees, engage in meaningful conversations, build trusted relationships, and provide resources, feedback, and development opportunities for success.

  2. Apply knowledge of regulatory requirements to administer practices and policies, ensuring compliance with equipment, safety standards, and process controls.

  3. Ensure adherence to safety procedures, including PPE, Lock Out Tag Out, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices.

  4. Develop and communicate tactical plans and goals; execute daily plans to meet productivity standards and update the team on progress.

  5. Oversee shift operations, including product quality, scheduling, and daily responsibilities; manage operational goals with other responsible parties.

  6. Delegate tasks, empower team members, and ensure departmental tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently.

  7. Identify operational improvement opportunities, collaborate on implementation, and recommend enhancements.

  8. Address questions related to product quality, scheduling, and responsibilities.

  9. Implement best practices, recommend productivity improvements, and identify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining quality. Escalate critical issues effectively.

  10. Maintain ERP system accuracy and ensure procedures are followed within designated timeframes.

  11. Collaborate with support teams as a subject matter expert.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing.

  • Experience managing and developing teams in a food manufacturing setting.

  • Food safety knowledge and experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with manufacturing regulatory compliance.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, processes, or regulations.

  • Bilingual skills.
