Job summary

Oldcastle APG, part of CRH, seeks a shift supervisor to oversee a production team on the assigned shift. This role will drive production goals, monitor machinery performance, and enforce safety and quality standards on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate has prior team-lead experience in manufacturing, can train operators on forklift, bobcat and loader use, and is physically able to lift up to 50 pounds while working in varied environmental conditions.

Qualifications

• Previous team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience providing on the job training to team members including forklift, bobcat, and loader operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Walking up and down elevated catwalks and stairs and standing for long periods.
• Work in all environmental conditions and extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Set production goals and expectations.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment; set up and operate machinery.
• Operate forklift as directed and safely.
• Oversee the daily preventive maintenance program.
• Track/inventory and parts usage.
• Analyze scorecards and day shift production reports.
• Train, promote, and discipline employees.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and the safety program is followed.
• Supervise department to meet quality and production standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Set production goals and expectations
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Set up and operate machinery
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
• Operateforklift as directed and without supervision while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures
• Inspectwork in progress and finished product
• Oversee the daily preventive maintenance program
• Track/report inventory and parts usage
• Analyze scorecards and day shift production reports
• Train, promote, and discipline employees
• Ensure all safety rules are followed and employee follow safety program
• Supervise employees in department to ensure they meet quality and production standards
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Previous team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience providing on the job training to team members to include but not limited to the operation of forklift, bobcat, loader, and development of production machine troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Walking up and down elevated catwalks and stairs and standing for long periods of time
• Ability to work in all environmental conditions and extreme temperatures

Compensation

• The hourly pay is $25-$30, based on experience
