Job summary

Oldcastle APG, part of CRH, seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee a shift at our NY facility. You will lead a team, set production goals, and ensure quality while maintaining safety standards. You will operate and oversee machinery, including forklift use, and manage maintenance and inventory processes.

The role emphasizes training, discipline, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment with strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience training team members and operating forklift, bobcat, loader.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set production goals and expectations.
• Visually inspect and test machinery; operate equipment.
• Operate forklift as directed while following safety policies.
• Inspect work in progress and finished product.
• Oversee daily preventive maintenance program.
• Track and report inventory and parts usage.
• Analyze scorecards and day shift production reports.
• Train, promote, and discipline employees.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and safety program is adhered to.
• Supervise department to meet quality and production standards.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Set production goals and expectations

Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Set up and operate machinery

Operateforklift as directed and without supervision while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures

Inspectwork in progress and finished product

Oversee the daily preventive maintenance program

Track/report inventory and parts usage

Analyze scorecards and day shift production reports

Train, promote, and discipline employees

Ensure all safety rules are followed and employee follow safety program

Supervise employees in department to ensure they meet quality and production standards

Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

Previousteam lead experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience providing on the job training to team members to include but not limited to the operation of forklift, bobcat, loader, and development of production machine troubleshooting skills

Ability to lift up to 50poundsand endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling

Walking up and down elevated catwalks and stairs and standing for long periods of time

Block or paver machine experience preferred
