Job summary

Parallel Employment Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced facility in Buffalo. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and staff development while driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, dairy or food manufacturing exposure, and the ability to coach teams, manage scheduling, and ensure GMP and sanitation standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Dairy or food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Dairy Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, GMPs, and food safety practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with workforce scheduling and performance management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Willingness to complete company training on facility procedures and CCPs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations while maintaining safety and product quality standards.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, sanitation procedures, GMPs, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate equipment and facility cleaning processes.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Plan staffing and allocate resources to meet production goals.
  • Manage employee scheduling and approve weekly payroll timekeeping.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Monitor labor, supplies, and operational costs while identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to coordinate cleaning schedules and production support.
  • Build positive working relationships with labor representatives and cross-functional teams.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with internal teams.

Choose one of the following shifts (flexibility required):



  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    OR

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM


Salary: $82,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience.
