Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily pit operations in a dynamic outdoor environment. You will supervise and mentor a diverse team, coordinating equipment, staffing, and production schedules to meet safety, quality, and environmental goals.

In this role, you will drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster an inclusive culture while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and results.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead daily pit operations to achieve production, safety, quality, and environmental objectives.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a mining, quarry, aggregates, construction, or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of aggregate production processes, mobile equipment operations, and material handling practices.
• Proven capability to prioritize work, solve problems, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across functions.
• Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

• Primarily located in an outdoor aggregate production environment with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
• Regular interaction with production personnel, contractors, and operational leadership.
• Combination of field-based supervision and administrative responsibilities.
• May require flexible scheduling to support operational needs.
