Summary of Job

The Production Supervisor will oversee all daily operations for safety, people development, production, and manufacturing within extrusion and converting operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Lead processes that will maximize safety, quality, and productivity, while building strong relationships with plant employees, customer service, and sales.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate and facilitate a safe work culture, ensuring compliance with all safety/environmental and housekeeping policies.
• Adhere to all health & safety policies and procedures for the area.
• Provide direct supervision of team members.
• Ensure all employees are trained adequately to perform tasks on all production equipment.
• Support, train, and evaluate the performance of team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot processing techniques and machinery.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of production standards.
• Assist other departments/shifts as instructed.
• Prioritize multiple projects effectively.
• Work in a professional, multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Work with and influence team members, peers, and senior managers.
• Monitor and evaluate production schedules.
• Apply strong analytical skills.
• Provide problem-solving and resolution skills for departmental issues.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong manufacturing background.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Access is a plus.
• SAP experience is a plus.

Training Required

• On-site orientation and training will be provided.

Working Conditions

• Production environment requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Physical Effort Requirements

• Long periods of standing.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
