Salary Range
$68,000 - $75,000
Principal Functional Responsibilities
- Assign and coordinate work, assist with employee selection, review employee performance, resolve employee issues, and administer company policies in assigned department.
- Manage and drive departmental performance measures articulated in the Cabinetworks Group Operating System (COS), including visual controls and proficiency with the tools and reporting requirements in the system.
- Coordinate and direct the activities of the department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and promoting safety, plant housekeeping, and employee morale.
- Ensure all job-related accidents or injuries are reported and documented, and take appropriate corrective action.
- Recommend equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, and process modifications.
- Inspect product to verify standards and specifications are met.
- Provide technical and behavioral coaching and development to employees.
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping in Kronos.
- Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement projects to reduce material and labor costs.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Successful leadership experience and ability to achieve results through others.
- Experience in employee training and development.
- Ability to measure performance against goals and standards.
- Focus on safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
- Attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to build positive partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 1-2 years supervisory experience.
- Experience with manufacturing software systems.
- Training in continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Kaizen.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Exposure to systems controls such as ISO 140001.
- Green Belt Certification or similar.
Shift
Full or Part Time, Full time preferred.
