Summary of Job

The Production Supervisor will oversee all daily operations for safety, people development, production and manufacturing within extrusion and converting operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Lead processes that will maximize safety, quality, and productivity, while building strong relationships with the plant employees, customer service, and sales.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ability to communicate and facilitate a safe work culture, ensuring compliance with all company safety/environmental and housekeeping policies.
2. Adheres to all health & safety policies and procedures for area.
3. Provide direct supervision of team members.
4. Assures that all employees are trained adequately to perform assigned tasks on all existing and new production equipment.
5. Continually provide support, training, and evaluate performance of team.
6. Accurately record, communicate, and maintain assigned documentation in a timely manner.
7. Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery.
8. Assure quality and accuracy of production standards.
9. Assist other departments/shifts as instructed.
10. Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
11. Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment.
12. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
13. Ability to work with and influence team members, peers, and senior managers.
14. Monitor, evaluate, and execute production schedules of equipment/assets.
15. Strong analytical skills.
16. Provide problem solving and resolution skills for departmental issues.
17. Continuous improvement relative to safety, quality, and productivity.
18. Ability to work overtime as needed.
19. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a supervisory position.
2. Strong background in manufacturing.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required, with some knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Access.

Training Required

1. On-site orientation and training will be provided.

Working Conditions

1. Production environment where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.

Physical Effort Requirements

1. Long periods of standing.
2. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
