Position Summary

Located just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods, serving many major Northeastern U.S. cities. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce our Friskies, Beneful, and Pro Plan brands—products that we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. Our factory contributes to Allentown's identity as a busy industrial city and a beautiful rural environment. We are committed to high-quality pet food production and environmental care, including conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all first-line management functions regarding production planning, output, equipment maintenance, people management, quality, safety, and sanitation.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts across the plant.
• Manage shifts, including being available for all shifts as needed.
• Supervise hourly employees in the dry extruded pet food processing department.
• Manage processing or packaging schedules to maximize output and minimize costs, actively participating in problem-solving.
• Lead and coach work groups to achieve results based on the factory’s continuous improvement plan.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance for repairs and modifications, demonstrating ownership of assigned areas.
• Ensure products meet quality checkpoints and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Provide a safe working environment for employees.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, military, or related environments.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in manufacturing, military, or related environments.

The approximate pay range for this position is $63,000 to $92,000, with final compensation based on experience and location. Nestlé offers performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401k with company match, healthcare, and more. Learn more at Nestlé Careers.
