Job summary

MAC Incorporated in Allendale, NJ, is seeking a Production Supervisor for the first shift to lead a high-volume electromechanical assembly and machining team.

You will manage 30+ employees, ensure safety, quality, delivery and productivity, and drive continuous improvement across the production floor.

Qualifications

• Must live within approximately 45 minutes of Allendale, NJ.
• Must be bilingual.
• 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory/leadership experience.
• Must have experience directly leading 30+ production employees.
• Must come from an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience in electromechanical assembly, machining/CNC, robotic or automated assembly, mechanical assembly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise 30+ production employees, including operators and setup technicians.
• Develop production schedules, assign work, and manage daily workflow.
• Ensure production meets safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals.
• Monitor production output, customer due dates, equipment downtime, labor efficiency, and KPIs.
• Work with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to resolve production and equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing defects and process-related problems.
• Lead continuous improvement, 5S, root-cause analysis, waste reduction, and standardization initiatives.
• Train and develop production employees.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.

Production Supervisor – Manufacturing

LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN Allendale NJ IS LOOKING FOR A PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR FOR THE FIRST SHIFT.

SALARY: $80K-$90K

Location: Allendale, NJ

Salary: $80,000–$90,000

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Saturday Rotation: Approximately every 5th–6th Saturday, 7:00 AM–11:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a high-volume manufacturing team in an electromechanical assembly, machining, robotic, and industrial production environment.

This position is responsible for leading daily production activities, managing a team of 30+ employees, meeting safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals, and driving continuous improvement across the production floor.

Must-Have Requirements

• Must live within approximately 45 minutes of Allendale, NJ. Candidates outside this commute range will not be considered.

• Must be bilingual.

• 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory/leadership experience.

• Must have experience directly leading 30+ production employees.

• Must come from an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Strong preference for experience in:

  • Electromechanical assembly

  • Machining/CNC manufacturing

  • Robotic or automated assembly

  • Mechanical assembly

  • Other industrial manufacturing environments

• Pharmaceutical manufacturing backgrounds will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise 30+ production employees, including operators, cell leads, facilitators, and setup technicians.

• Develop production schedules, assign work, and manage daily workflow.

• Ensure production meets safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals.

• Monitor production output, customer due dates, equipment downtime, labor efficiency, and KPIs.

• Work with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to resolve production and equipment issues.

• Troubleshoot manufacturing defects and process-related problems.

• Lead continuous improvement, 5S, root cause analysis, waste reduction, and process standardization initiatives.

• Improve production methods, workflow, equipment utilization, and employee productivity.

• Train, coach, cross-train, and develop production employees.

• Manage employee performance, attendance, time-off requests, timesheets, and corrective actions.

• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.

• Maintain required production and employee training documentation.

• Provide daily production and performance reporting to management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; technical or college degree preferred.

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, assembly, machining, or related industrial production.

• Proven experience managing 30+ employees in a high-volume production environment.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical assembly.

• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Experience with manufacturing/measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, presses, drills, crimpers, cutters, and pliers preferred.

• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to analyze production data and implement corrective actions.
