Job summary

Nassal/nFusion, part of the PCL family, is offering a Design Student internship in Orlando, FL. You will assist design team, refine shop drawings, attend meetings, and contribute to as-built drawings.

This internship runs May through August; require pursuing Associate's or Bachelor's in Design/Architecture/Engineering/Construction; strong communication; familiarity with AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit. Authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and present ideas and content.
  • Some knowledge and/or interest in the construction process and various components involved at each stage of construction.
  • Any experience using AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Rhino, Revit, and/or similar software.
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable systems.
  • Some knowledge of technical drawings, constructability, 3D modeling, and/or BIM coordination.
  • Ability to learn how to apply design, architectural, and/or engineering knowledge and practicesefficiently and with assistance.
  • Demonstrates a high level of critical thinking and sound decision-making skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August
  • Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.

  • Attends team meetings to coordinate design requirements, options, and ideas for building the project.
  • Assists with revising designs and plans to comply with modified specifications made due to design intent changes, review comments, and construction, eventually resulting in as-built drawings.
  • Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
  • Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Values and models, the solution provider, and profitability culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.
