Job Title: Production Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to join our team. The Production Coordinator will provide valuable support to our Production Team in various aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to deadlines. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Production Operations and contribute to our organization's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the production team in daily operations; Communication, Creating PO’s & other tasks delegated by manager
• Daily email correspondence with overseas agents and China team
• Work with vendors to receive and review weekly WIP reports to ensure production schedule is on time
• Review and monitor weekly shipping reports to be on target with customers’ delivery expectations
• Daily communication of information to Design, Product Development and Sales teams
• Facilitate costing inquiries from respectful agents and create/update cost sheets to provide visibility for costing strategies
• Track status of PO’s and resolution of all overages and Production needing to be cut
• Daily housekeeping of sample storage and management of sample/submit packages
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and enhancements to production processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Fashion, Merchandising or related field; additional technical training

• Previous experience in a production environment with overseas communication
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for high volume workload
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to follow Ground Up’s guidelines and processes accurately
• Ability to work effectively with our Sales and Production teams in New York and China
• Adaptable and able to change priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, motivated, and willing to learn
• Expert in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Effective time management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge and understanding of retail math
• Wholesale experience preferred
• Experience using Envision is a plus
• Experience with PLM or ERP systems a plus
