Job summary

BioSpace is seeking a Production Shift Manager to oversee nightly manufacturing operations in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role ensures GMP‑compliant execution of the production plan, supervises operators, and maintains documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, has manufacturing leadership experience, and prior supervision of hourly staff. Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all production activities during the shift and resolve issues.
• Oversee raw material charging, sampling, packaging, and cleaning.
• Maintain GMP documentation (SOPs, batch records, cleaning records).
• Ensure clear handoff between shifts.
• Enforce EHS standards and coordinate emergency response.
• Coach hourly production operators and uphold company policies.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and support validation projects.
• Participate in investigations and CAPA development.
• Provide technical guidance and operator training.

• Oversee key manufacturing steps including raw material charging, sampling, packaging, and cleaning.
• Maintain accurate GMP documentation (SOPs, batch records, cleaning records).
• Ensure clear communication and handoff between shifts.
• Enforce EHS standards and coordinate emergency response when needed.
• Supervise and coach hourly production operators; uphold company policies.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and support validation and project activities.
• Participate in investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA development.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators.
