Confidential Manufacturing Company in New York seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Night Shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role supervises production employees, drives safety, quality, and productivity, and uses data to improve performance.

You are a hands-on leader who coaches teams, coordinates staffing, conducts shift briefings, and partners with Maintenance on equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience leading night-shift manufacturing teams is preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees, including onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Coordinate staffing and work assignments to meet nightly production requirements.
• Oversee production activities to ensure safety, quality, and production standards are consistently achieved.
• Monitor production processes, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and drive key performance metrics.
• Conduct routine quality checks and address product or process concerns.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow, and overall production performance.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Enforce safety policies and address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment issues and preventive maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and performance metrics.
• Lead shift meetings to communicate goals, priorities, challenges, and results.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, communication, and a positive work environment.

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Night Shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for supervising production employees, maintaining safety and quality standards, meeting production goals, and driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can effectively manage people, troubleshoot operational issues, and use performance data to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.

Schedule: 12‑hour night shift, every other weekend.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, safety practices, and production processes.

• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze operational data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle for business purposes.
