Job summary

Ultipro in Saint Clair, MO is seeking a Production Shift Lead to ensure the shift and each production line runs safely, smoothly, and with high quality. You will oversee safety, quality, setup, and coordination with support functions to keep production on schedule.

The role requires leading by example, training shift members, conducting audits, and implementing Lean practices to improve efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety protocol and promote safe work practices.
• Ensure quality for internal and external customers.
• Oversee operations per policies; assign work stations.
• Conduct production audits; monitor productivity and quality.
• Train shift members and coach performance.
• Promote a positive, productive team environment.
• Measure area performance using PLZ metrics.
• Maintain housekeeping and Lean practices.
• Communicate scheduling needs and issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Effectively help support safety protocol, identifying hazards and promoting safe work.
• Help ensure defect-free quality for internal and external customers.
• Oversee line operations; assign and manage work stations.
• Perform physical audits; monitor productivity and quality standards.
• Work with shift members to improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
• Investigate and correct product quality exceptions and issues.
• Facilitate training for shift members and provide coaching.
• Promote a positive, productive team environment and lead by example.
• Assist in measuring area performance using PLZ metrics.
• Ensure good housekeeping and implement Lean practices.
