Job summary

Barton Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Shift Lead to join a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

This hands-on leadership role oversees production activities, supports machine operations, troubleshoots process and equipment issues, and ensures a safe and productive shift. The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing background, excellent mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lead a team while remaining actively involved in production.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a manufacturing shift
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lead a team and stay hands-on on the floor
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and variable schedules

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production activities during the assigned shift
• Operate and support media production equipment and operators
• Serve as primary point of contact for shift issues and escalations
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, standards, and policies
• Monitor production performance and product quality; take corrective action
• Troubleshoot mechanical, process, and equipment issues with Maintenance/Engineering
• Support equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
• Train and coach employees on equipment operation and safety
• Coordinate shift coverage, breaks, and workflow
• Communicate with other shifts and support departments
• Maintain production, quality, and operational records
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction
• Promote a safe, team-oriented, productive work environment
