The Pivot Group Network is actively seeking experienced Setup Technicians to join their network in Traverse City, MI. This role supports multiple partner companies prioritizing long-term fit, safety, and efficient changeovers across production lines.

Qualified candidates will have 1–3 years in manufacturing, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints and work instructions. Strong problem-solving skills and physical endurance are required for standing and lifts up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and precision measuring devices.
• Ability to read technical documents (e.g., blueprints, schematics, work instructions).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage materials and tools for production runs.
• Calibrate and adjust manufacturing equipment according to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions during setup.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Document setup processes, equipment settings, and any deviations.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize setup efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed during equipment setup and operation.
