Job summary

Applied Materials in Austin, TX is seeking a skilled Materials Planner to coordinate production control and MRP activities within a fast-paced semiconductor environment. The role focuses on SAP-driven planning, on-time material delivery, and close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and finance teams.

You will maintain SAP production orders, optimize MRP timelines, and improve material availability while supporting a culture of learning, growth, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Experience in production control and material planning.
• Familiarity with SAP production orders and MRP.
• Ability to train others in planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan production control, inventory control, process control, and MRP integrity.
• Maintain SAP production order release schedule and MRP dates.
• Analyze supply and demand and reconcile master scheduling.
• Collaborate with buyers/planners on ECOs and material availability.
• Coordinate with Finance to resolve WIP issues.
• Attend production meetings and adjust lead times.
• Manage inventory levels and expedite shortages.
• Drive root cause and corrective actions.
• Train planning staff as needed.
