Job summary

Applied Materials in Austin, TX is seeking a seasoned Materials Planner to ensure smooth material flow for production. You will maintain SAP production order releases, adjust material requirements, and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve issues.

Experience with Materials Resources Planning (MRP) and SAP.
Ability to analyze production schedules and material shortages.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

Material Resources Planning (MRP) – Maintain SAP Production Order releases to ensure on-time material supply.
Reschedule and adjust material requirements to align with production commitments.
Increase material availability at PO release by performing pre-shortage analysis.
Perform work order variance analysis.
Review MRP execution for accuracy of information.
Collaborate with MFG and ENG to solve material problems for assemblies in WIP.
Attend production meetings and provide status on material shortage commit dates.
Inventory Control – Manage inventory in a sloc to ensure velocity requirements.
Process Control – Follow BKM and QMS documentation around material allocation, DMR/MRB, and RTS processes.
Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
