Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules.
• Sequence manufacturing orders to maximize machine efficiency while minimizing changeover time.
• Balance production priorities based on customer due dates, capacity, labor availability, and material constraints.
• Continuously adjust schedules to accommodate downtime, rush orders, and unexpected issues.
• Monitor production progress during each shift and make real-time schedule adjustments.
• Maintain schedule accuracy within the ERP/MRP system.
• Review customer demand, forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity.
• Coordinate production requirements across multiple departments.
• Ensure schedules support service level goals.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze workflow to improve throughput and reduce lead times.
• Work closely with Customer Service regarding priorities and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials are available prior to production.
• Collaborate with Warehouse on inventory availability.
• Communicate scheduling priorities to Production Supervisors and Leads.
• Partner with Maintenance regarding planned downtime and equipment availability.
