Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Huntsville, AR is seeking a Planner to schedule the use of production materials to optimize efficiency. You will work with production and other departments to address shortages and adjust schedules.

Responsibilities include updating status reports, entering work orders in the MRP system, issuing changes, and maintaining files until orders are closed. A high school diploma is required, with 2 years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum two years in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and detail-oriented skills.
• MRP exposure preferred; strong computer skills (email, internet, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with production and other departments regarding material shortages and adjust production schedules.
• Reports items complete, ensures material issued, and notifies the program manager as needed.
• Update production status reports.
• Enter work orders in the MRP system for each manufacturing sales order.
• Issue changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations and priorities.
• Create and maintain files related to each sales release until order closed.
• May assign and archive serial numbers for assemblies requiring serialization.
• Adhere to Employee Expectations Policy.
• Responsible for proper handling and management of hazardous waste.
• Perform other assignments as required.
