Job summary

Ducommun, Inc. in Huntsville, AR is seeking a Planner to schedule the usage of production materials to optimize production efficiency. You will coordinate with production and other departments to manage material shortages, update status reports, and enter work orders in the MRP system.

Responsibilities include issuing materials, reporting completion, handling changes, and maintaining sales-release files. Requires 2+ years in manufacturing, HS diploma or GED, and strong Excel/Word skills.

• MRP exposure preferred
• Intermediate level of computer skills in e-mail, internet, Word, and Excel
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills needed
• Detail oriented; Ability to maintain accurate records and files

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with production and other departments regarding material shortages and other problems affecting meeting customer requirements, then modify and adapt production schedules.
• Reports items complete - make sure all material has been issued, report it on hand and issue it to the next assembly or notify program manager, so they can issue shipper
• Update various production status reports.
• Enter work orders in MRP system for each manufacturing sales order.
• Issue changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations and other priorities (as needed).
• Create and maintain files related to each sales release until order closed.
