Valco Melton is seeking a Scheduler for its Manufacturing team. The role translates approved production plans into detailed, executable schedules and work sequences to support efficient manufacturing flow.

The Scheduler maintains accurate schedules, monitors near-term execution, and coordinates adjustments, ensuring activities align with capacity, material availability, and operational priorities. Collaboration with Planning, Production, Inventory, and Operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and data entry accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains daily and short-term production schedules based on plans, capacity, and material availability.
• Converts planning direction into detailed schedules, dispatch lists, and sequencing instructions.
• Monitors schedule adherence, disturbances, and communicates issues to the Planner.
• Updates schedules in response to shortages, changes, or disruptions, following priorities.
• Maintains scheduling data in the ERP/MRP system with accurate status and dates.
• Coordinates with Production Supervisors to confirm readiness and priorities.
• Communicates schedule changes to stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Supports data collection/analysis on schedule performance and capacity utilization.
• Verifies alignment with planning parameters and policies.
• Escalates conflicts to the Planner for resolution.
