Job summary

Appvion, Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a Production Scheduler to lead site-level production planning, material flow, and inventory execution to meet customer demand and service targets.

You will partner with Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to optimize planning, improve inventory, and enable efficient fulfillment while driving continuous improvement. Develop and execute production plans, balance capacity and materials, and drive planning excellence across the site to

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field, or equivalent experience and/or certifications.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of production planning principles, including MRP, capacity planning, inventory control, and demand alignment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience using ERP/MRP systems (D365 preferred; SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel/data analysis.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate and timely production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Drive site-level production planning, material flow, and inventory execution to meet service levels and efficiency targets.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to align production with demand and optimize inventory.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to standardize planning practices and improve long-term site performance.
  • Develop and execute production plans to maintain 95%+ service level by balancing demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Coordinate with site buyers to ensure material readiness and monitor lead times and supply risks.
  • Maintain accurate inventory positions and optimize sequencing to maximize throughput and asset utilization.
  • Manage schedules, backlog, and order status to ensure on-time fulfillment and minimize excess material.
