PRODUCTION SCHEDULER

Location: Morgantown, PA

How You Will Make an Impact?

The Production Scheduler will be responsible for performing the production scheduling for one or more facilities.

The Nuts and Bolts

  • Instrumental in collaborating with all levels of the company to plan, set, and support a Sales and Operations Production plan
  • Perform the production scheduling to maximize on-time delivery, productivity, inventory turns, gross profit, etc; utilize level loading practices for production lines by using plant loading tools and lean methodology
  • Establish commitment (promise ship) dates for scheduled sales orders
  • Works directly with manufacturing to support customer on-time delivery
  • Will work with the sales department and Corporate Master scheduling to set long term production schedules and commitments for high volume orders
  • Communicate with respective departments on any schedule changes that will adversely affect overall schedule execution or customer expectation
  • Works directly with the Materials management team and fellow associates to ensure that raw materials and customer supplied items are available to support the production schedule

Preferred Credentials

  • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling in a make-to-order environment with 5+ years scheduling experience.
  • Knowledge of MPS/MRP systems. Experience with AS/400 a plus.
  • The ability to adapt in a very fluid and cyclical environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical skills.
  • Moderate user of Microsoft Office tools, with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Moderate travel up to 25% may be required.
  • APICS CPIM certification a plus.
