Job summary

Jackson's Food Company in Wisconsin is seeking a Production Scheduler to translate the Production Plan into a practical schedule for the Operations team, ensuring efficient run rates and timely output.

The role requires coordinating with the Production Planner, inventory and customer service to align capacity with demand, and monitoring schedules to meet deadlines and deliverables across the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
  • Proven aptitude in Microsoft Suite; experience with ERP systems required.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the production planner to schedule production orders to meet demand.
  • Collaborate with the E-commerce team to assess inventory needs and incorporate them into the production schedule.
  • Review and approve customer requests for changes in order quantity and delivery dates, as forwarded by the customer service department.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules by regularly reporting schedule versus actual output to the team.
  • Develop comprehensive production schedules in response to sales orders, forecasts, and demand dynamics.
  • Prepare comprehensive supply chain reports, providing valuable insights and analytics for the team.

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Production Scheduler at Jackson's Food Company, the role involves taking the Production Plan created by the Production Planner and creating a production schedule for the Operations team to produce. The focus is on creating a schedule to allow the Operations team to run as efficiently as possible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned. Individual will work a varied schedule based on client needs.

Scheduling Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the production planner to schedule production orders to meet demand.
  • Collaborate with the E-commerce team to assess inventory needs and incorporate them into the production schedule.
  • Review and approve customer requests for changes in order quantity and delivery dates, as forwarded by the customer service department.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules by regularly reporting schedule versus actual output to the team.
  • Develop comprehensive production schedules in response to sales orders, forecasts, and demand dynamics.
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines through a proactive approach, guaranteeing the fulfillment of supply chain needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations team to assess scheduling needs, maximizing throughput during shifts.
  • Monitor hour by hour production progress to adjust schedules when needed.

Required Experience
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training;

  • Proven aptitude in Microsoft Suite; experience with ERP systems required.
