Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking a Department Superintendent to lead the Triad Process within the Branch One bedding group. The role provides guidance to multiple departments and ensures safe, efficient operation aligned with the branch mission and goals.

You will partner with Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Shipping, HR, Maintenance, Master Scheduling and CI to drive performance. You will identify and stop non-conformances, prevent quality issues, and implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising manufacturing teams.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and safety.

Responsibilities

• Identify and stop non-conformances related to product, processes or quality systems.
• Prevent non-conformities in products or services per ISO 9001:2015.
• Suggest improvements and verify implementation of solutions.
• Know control plans, work instructions and specifications.
• Understand equipment function in the department and maintain safety.
• Attend to injuries and administer safety and environmental policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized department and a safe workplace.
• Ensure quality checks, training, and adherence to quality programs.
• Oversee production supervisors to maintain efficiency and flow.
• Monitor overtime, scheduling, and plant security as needed.
• Lead periodic meetings and communicate with HR and maintenance.
