Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a RVI Scranton Rendering Generalist Maintenance - Production. The role pays a range of $18.95-$25.80 per hour with potential shift differentials of $2.00 or $3.00.

The position supports production operations, unloads and washes trailers, loads trucks, performs lubrication and PM tasks, and assists maintenance while following Tyson safety policies. Candidates must be 18+, be able to work all shifts, and pass screenings.

RVI Scranton Rendering Generalist Maintenance - Production

Pay Range: $18.95 - $25.80

Shift Pay: $2.00 or $3.00 shift differential possible

Functions

• To Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
• Receive training as required
• Perform various positions as required/assigned

Description

This position is responsible for the production operation and will unload and wash all trailers, tankers and reefers, monitor cookers and soap and wash all areas of the plant. Load trucks, maintain the control room and complete accurate paperwork. Check lubrication on machinery, change oil and belts on gear boxes, perform equipment PM and auger inspections. Will assist maintenance when needed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure water hose with 30 pounds of pressure or more. Will be required to obtain the certification and operate a forklift or skid-steer loader. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance skills such has mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, wiring, motor controls, and conveyor maintenance. Must have basic computer skills. Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations. Must have the ability to document information. Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally.

Shift Schedules

• A Crew - Sunday - Tuesday 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Wednesday 6:00 a.m. - 12 noon
• B Crew - Sunday - Tuesday 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. Wednesday 6:00 p.m. - 12 midnight
• C Crew - Wednesday 12 noon - 6:00 p.m., Thursday - Saturday 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• D Crew - Wednesday 12 midnight - 6:00 a.m., Thursday - Saturday 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Rehire Criteria

Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.

Also, if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
