Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Data & Quality Assurance professional to ensure the stability of a live test production environment, troubleshoot incidents, monitor health, and perform root cause analysis. You will develop analytical tools, understand data flows, and collaborate with risk managers and technology teams to drive improvements and reporting.

The role requires strong SAS, SQL, Python, and UNIX/Linux skills, with experience in batch scheduling, testing life cycles, and producing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Understanding of SAS programming and ability to interpret SAS logs.
• Strong experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
• Experience supporting batch processes using Autosys or a similar scheduler.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug production issues.
• SQL experience preferred.
• Ability to understand organizational workflows and identify process improvements.
• Ability to design and document tests measuring process and control effectiveness.
• Ability to produce testing results and data-driven insights.
• Understanding of the end-to-end test development life cycle.
• Strong programming skills in Spark, R, C, Java, YAML, and other languages.
• Strong Python programming skills and knowledge of its packages.
• Understanding of the software engineering life cycle.
• Experience developing and maintaining complex databases and data sets.
• Ability to design and refine predictive programming algorithms.
• Deep understanding of the product and business context.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Clean, maintainable coding practices and proactive issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stability and continuous operation of the live test production environment
• Resolve incidents and troubleshoot production issues
• Monitor system health
• Manage passwords
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
• Develop models, analytical tools, and testing scripts providing actionable insights into operational health
• Work with process owners to understand data, process flows, and controls
• Identify risks and design effective testing and monitoring
• Create methodologies to evaluate process and control effectiveness and compliance
• Partner with process and data owners, risk managers, GCOR, and EIT operational, data sourcing, and technology infrastructure teams
• Use methodology outputs, analytical tools, and testing scripts to drive process improvements and detect and report errors
• Explain rationale, methodology details, and results to senior stakeholders, auditors, and regulators
• Apply process and operational excellence
