Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking a Production Quality Manager in Beloit, WI to lead our quality program for manufacturing operations. You will drive compliance with defense standards, govern ISO 9001 and related requirements, and mentor a team across production, engineering, and program management.

Responsibilities include leading corrective actions, implementing KPIs, and guiding product realization from concept to delivery while ensuring customer satisfaction and strong metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field and 7 years of quality management in manufacturing.
• Experience with defense contracting and government compliance (ITAR, FAR/DFARS).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with SPC, FMEA, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a quality team.
• Primary contact for quality issues with customers, government representatives, and regulators.
• Provide training on quality standards, processes, and tools.
• Guide new products from concept through product realization.
• Implement KPIs to measure and improve quality and production efficiency.
• Oversee audits and ensure non-conformances are documented and resolved.
• Champion Lean and other process improvements to reduce defects and costs.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and risks.
• Lead SPC, FMEA, and DOE efforts.
