Job summary

Draper is seeking a Program Manager 1-Production (PM1) to drive planning, execution, and growth for production programs. You will oversee transitions to production, lead production and sustainment contracts, and pursue growth opportunities with customers.

The role requires proven large-scale PM experience with EVMS knowledge and strong leadership to build high-performing teams. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, business, or related field and at least 5 years of

Qualifications

• EVMS, IMP/IMS and risk/issue management knowledge.
• Experience on government projects with direct customer interfaces.
• Able to lead cross-functional teams and achieve program goals.
• Able to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.
• Occasional travel and ability to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own program execution: cost, schedule, technical performance.
• Establish performance baselines and resource plans.
• Coordinate recruitment and development of key talent.
• Manage all program phases from inception to completion.
• Act as primary customer contact and lead reviews.
• Collaborate with functions to monitor performance.
• Identify opportunities, risks, and issues; take corrective actions.
• Develop new business or expand current products with customers.
• Provide leadership for an inclusive, high-morale team.
• Participate in negotiations, reporting, and deliverables.
• Ensure quality processes align with QMS and requirements.
• Coordinate win strategy and compliant proposals.
• Manage business cycle per financial policies.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
