Job summary

Senior Aerospace SSP is seeking a quality inspector to examine assemblies, sub-assemblies and final products, using hydro or gas pressure testing methods. You will read blueprints and specs, install units in test fixtures, and verify leaks or deformations under pressure.

Re-inspections and adherence to company procedures are part of the role. The position requires a GED or equivalent and may involve shift work on the 2nd shift (3:30pm–11:30pm).

Qualifications

  • GED or equivalent required.
  • 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
  • Reads and follows blueprints, drawings, specs and QC standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect assemblies for defects using hydro or gas equipment as directed.
  • Work from blueprints, drawings, specifications, planning sheets and QC standards.
  • Install assemblies in test fixtures or test closures.
  • Analyze assemblies for leaks and deformation under pressure.
  • Approve acceptable parts; reject unacceptable ones.
  • Perform re-inspection and related operations.
  • Follow Senior policies and procedures.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Summary: Inspects assemblies, sub-assemblies and final assemblies for defects by use of hydro or gas equipment, with instruction from supervision or higher-grade level pressure test operators.

  • Works from blueprints, drawings, specifications, planning sheets and quality control standards.
  • Installs assemblies in test fixtures or test closures.
  • Analyzes – by visual examination – the assemblies and sub-assemblies under pressure for the presence or absence of leaks and deformation.
  • Stamps or otherwise approves acceptable parts and rejects those which are unacceptable. Production stamp.
  • Perform re-inspection and other associated operations in connection with the work described.
  • Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
  • Other duties with the work as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Employment Details

Annual Target Salary: $47,840.00

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 2nd Shift 3:30pm - 11:30pm
