Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY in Ogden, Utah, is seeking a Production Plastics Laborer to support the plastics department with tasks in Spray, Roller, or Prep roles. This is a permanent full-time position with a 6:30am-3pm schedule and a safety-first work environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least one year of manufacturing experience, and the ability to read a tape measure and use hand tools. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience as a Laborer.
• Dependability to report to work is a must.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to effectively use a variety of hand tools.
• Must be able to read and interpret simple shop drawings.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Plastic process of manufacturing trench drains and related products
• Prep, clean and polish forms
• Build and efficiently stack pallets with finished products (trenches and grates)
• Prepare pallets for shipment
• Contribute to the overall facility production goals on a daily basis
• Other duties as assigned

Position Overview

Working in the Plastics Department consists of performing one of three key roles: Spray, Roller, or Prep. The Production Plastics team member will be responsible for tasks within their assigned role to support overall department efficiency. Laborers assigned to the Plastics Department will work in one of these three area: Spray, Roller, or Prep based on operational needs

Plastic

• Assist in the Plastic process of manufacturing trench drains and related products
• Prep, clean and polish forms
• Build and efficiently stack pallets with finished products (trenches and grates)

• Follow all safety processes and procedures
• Operate power tools and hand tools to complete assigned tasks
• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of products in any Production Department - Spray department.

• Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot and cold) and outside elements
• Ability to stand/walk/crouch/bend frequently throughout entire shift (up to 10 hours)

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred
