What this role is all about:

We are looking for a Plant Manager II in New Lisbon, WI.

The Plant Manager II is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations at the New Lisbon manufacturing facility. This role includes managing manufacturing processes, maintenance, shipping and receiving, warehousing, sanitation, and safety. The Plant Manager II ensures efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production while fostering a positive culture and empowering teams. This role requires a strong presence on the production floor and a commitment to operational excellence. The facility currently operates on a 24/4 schedule with plans to transition to 24/5, with flexibility for additional shifts as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all plant operations and ensure each department meets/exceeds goals and KPIs.
  • Manage daily operations staff and provide guidance and consultation to management in all aspects of operations.
  • Provide leadership and documented training to motivate and develop team members.
  • Implement process improvements using data-driven decisions and the Management Operating Structure (MOS).
  • Ensure production deadlines are met and product/revenue goals are achieved.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings to clarify expectations and budgets.
  • Manage Operations GL accounts to meet budget objectives.
  • Implement cost controls over CAPEX, operating expenses, and teams.
  • Establish and monitor plant performance KPIs for manufacturing, safety, and quality/sanitation.
  • Use Lean tools for troubleshooting and planning.
  • Develop strategic plans to meet operational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, FDA, safety, quality, and SOP standards.
  • Coordinate with plant, corporate, and client personnel for daily production needs.
  • Report safety issues or incidents immediately to leadership.
  • Support inventory counts and manage off-spec product dispositions.
  • Perform manufacturing duties as needed and supervise all plant personnel.
  • Enforce safety policies and report hazards.

Qualifications:

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience Required:

  • 7-10 years of progressive management experience in food & beverage plant operations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, USDA regulations.
  • Powder blending and dairy/non-dairy ingredients experience preferred.
