Job summary

TAS Energy Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Production Planning Manager to lead our production planning team and optimize MRP/ERP processes.

You will collaborate with Product Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Project Management, Engineering and Configuration Control to implement a production planning strategy. The role requires strong ERP/MRP knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to read engineering drawings while coordinating with multiple departments to ensure on-time,

Qualifications

5–7 years production planning in an engineer-to-order environment
3–5 years management with 3–5 direct reports
MRP key user experience
Ability to quickly grasp new technologies amidst change
Solid knowledge of engineering and fabrication processes

Responsibilities

Manage staff of Production Planners, including recruiting, training and scheduling
Drive optimization of the MRP/ERP system
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing and Master Scheduler to ensure accurate material planning
Track material movement throughout shops
Ensure leads have materials needed to complete jobs
Cover peak workloads and absences with deliverables
