Job summary

Welser Profile North America in Valley City, OH seeks a planning professional to create, update, and release production orders and develop detailed production schedules. You will optimize capacity, coordinate with manufacturing, and ensure on-time delivery across cross-functional teams.

The role requires SAP/MRP proficiency, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Travel may be required for group meetings or training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and release production orders.
• Create and maintain capacity reservations to support production requirements.
• Analyze production capacity needs and coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure on-time delivery performance.
• Review and release purchase requisitions within SAP.
• Develop detailed production schedules and coordinate the availability of required materials, components, and production aids.
• Identify scheduling and planning conflicts and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
• Manage and communicate delivery delays, coordinating updates with Sales and customers as needed.
• Review production orders to ensure completeness, accuracy, and readiness for execution.
• Prepare, maintain, and archive production-related documentation.
• Maintain and update planning-related master data to support accurate scheduling and reporting.
• Provide backup support for planning and administrative functions as required.
