Job summary
Contech Engineered Solutions LLC Career Center is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate raw materials, purchasing, production scheduling, and shipping to meet customer needs. This role requires creating daily work schedules for hourly personnel, optimizing production flow, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
Local candidates only. You will also collaborate across departments to keep material availability aligned with changing orders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with inventory control, loading, and shipping procedures.
- Ability to read shop drawings.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Order Management: Receive orders from sales offices and customers, set delivery dates based on material availability and production schedules.
- Production Planning: Establish production plans and daily schedules for hourly personnel.
- Shipping and Logistics: Identify carriers, coordinate shipments, plan routes and loading schedules.
- Inventory Management: Place orders for raw materials, manage BOMs and inventory levels.
- Communication and Coordination: Inform sales and plant personnel about material availability, changes, and schedules.
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare certificates and coordinate inspections as required.
