Job summary

MiTek Industries in Hazelwood, MO is seeking an entry-level Production Planner to assist with coordinating customer orders, monitoring progress, and maintaining records in production and inventory systems.

You will support the production schedule, monitor lead times via ERP, and help with cycle counts and data accuracy in a collaborative office environment near the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• High School/GED is required.
• Associates in a related field preferred.
• Combination of experience and education may substitute on a year-for-year basis (1–2 years in manufacturing or production control).
• Basic understanding of ERP systems or willingness to learn required.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with updating and maintaining the production schedule under supervision.
• Monitor sales orders and provide basic lead-time information using the ERP system.
• Support the preparation of production schedules based on existing orders and customer priorities.
• Participate in routine inventory tasks such as cycle counts.
• Communicate order status and basic scheduling details with internal departments (e.g., manufacturing, customer service, logistics).
• Help track inventory levels and incoming materials under guidance from senior staff.
• Enter and review data to ensure order and inventory accuracy.
• Perform basic analysis related to production timing and capacity under direction.
