Qualifications

• Associates degree or two-year technical degree in a related discipline with 3 years of related work experience
• APICS certification is a plus
• Experience with SAP R/3 Logistics module emphasized (production & planning)
• Strong MS Office skills required
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Self-starter who can prioritize with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Overtime may be required by production/customer demands

Responsibilities

• Plan production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
• Maintain/set material master data including costing and safety stock
• Analyze and confirm sales order releases with respect to capacity and material requirements via SAP and FastPro
• Review and plan new sales orders; create production orders; communicate dates to departments
• Ensure master schedule availability of materials, manpower, and resources
• Establish production order priorities with the Scheduler
• Monitor exception messages and resolve production issues
• Interface with Sales regarding order status and schedule changes
• Collaborate with Scheduler and Production Management to resolve problems
• Investigate material shortages and initiate corrective action
• Keep departments informed of completion dates and changes
• Provide ad-hoc reporting; ensure ISO/AS9100 compliance for related processes
