Job summary

RTX is seeking an Inventory Planner for the Rockford site. You will own the inventory plan for raw, WIP and finished goods, align with business objectives and lead action items to improve performance.

Responsibilities include ensuring on-time delivery, coordinating with manufacturing, and driving continuous improvement across material planning, receiving, storage and WIP control. Strong collaboration with operations is essential.

• Development and ownership of the inventory plan (Raw, WIP, Finished Goods) aligned with AOP/SFP objectives, including defining action items to achieve targeted outcomes
• Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of materials to production lines and customers by managing planning, staging, and fulfillment processes
• Support quarterly analysis of Excess & Obsolete (E&O), PFEP, EMP and Entitlement, including development and execution of resulting action items
• Coordinate with the manufacturing team to manage changes in production priorities or order modifications
• Champion continuous improvement for material planning, receiving, storage, staging, and WIP control
• Assess workload requirements to ensure adequate staffing to support operations and develop employees
• Manage the material strategy to support New Product Introduction through End of Life
• Oversee end-to-end materials process for the site including planning, scheduling, logistics, and delivery commitment
