Job summary

Capewell Aerial Systems LLC in South Windsor, CT is seeking a Production Planner and Expeditor to coordinate workflow and materials across Sales, Production, and Purchasing. The role focuses on maintaining material availability, supplier commitments, and component status to meet daily and weekly schedules.

Responsibilities include expediting orders, updating ERP/MRP data, and communicating changes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience in production planning, scheduling, materials, expediting, or supply chain.
• Proficiency with Visual ERP or similar ERP and MS Office; knowledge of MRP and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate movement of work, materials, and production documentation to support schedules.
• Act as central liaison between Sales, Production, and Purchasing; monitor material availability and supplier commitments.
• Review MRP, inventory levels, open orders, lead times; adjust work orders as needed.
• Expedite materials with Purchasing and suppliers to support production priorities.
• Communicate changes to Sales and other stakeholders; track production status and backlog.
• Maintain backlog visibility and assess risks; participate in production meetings.
• Contribute to inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies with Stockroom/Inventory Control.
• Comply with Quality Management System requirements (AS9100, ISO 9001).
