Job summary

Shawsheen Coating and Converting in Andover, MA is seeking an experienced Production Planner to develop and manage production schedules, coordinate materials and resources, and help drive ERP improvements. The role collaborates across Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Quality, and Warehouse to ensure on-time delivery and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production planning within manufacturing, ERP implementation experience, and strong Excel/MRP skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production planning experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in coating, converting, textiles, or related processes preferred.
• Hands-on ERP implementation or major system improvement experience.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or Infor.
• Strong scheduling, MRP, BOM, and inventory management skills.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; CPIM/APICS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet demand.
• Coordinate daily production priorities with plant leadership and purchasing.
• Monitor capacity, labor, and materials to create realistic schedules.
• Track progress, address delays, and adapt to shortages or downtime.
• Lead ERP-related production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Maintain BOMs, routings, lead times, and equipment capacities.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Quality, and Warehouse.
• Improve planning procedures and ERP-related processes.
• Monitor performance, on-time delivery, and inventory levels.
• Support continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce delays.
